About us

The Illustration Gallery is dedicated to the exhibition of all forms of illustration, celebrating the richness and diversity of the work of illustrators from around the world.

The gallery was founded in 2007 to raise awareness of what is surely one of the most available and exciting artforms enjoyed today. Since that time, we have worked with a great many illustrators, among them artists such as Tim Bower, Laura Carlin, Russell Cobb, Sergei Sviatchenko, Tomer Hanuka, Marcus James, Rob Ryan, Yuko Shimizu and Shaun Tan.

The gallery is entirely web-based and aims to embrace the possibilities of the internet to connect with other organisations and individuals who share similar goals. Through our website, we plan to explore the varying aspects of contemporary illustration and celebrate the richness and diversity of the work of illustrators from around the world.

Currently, we are pleased to feature the work of six fantastic illustrators. Browse through their work and you'll get an idea of the standard you will come to expect from The Illustration Gallery as we add work by many more illustrators over the coming weeks and months.

We'll also be adding new sections and content; for instance: a journal, illustration resources and, from September, we'll begin a series of fantastic online exhibitions. To keep up to date with all these exciting changes, you can follow us on Twitter or Facebook or sign up to our mailing list.
